Get PC Parts is a father-and-sons shop outside Columbus, Ohio. We test every component on a bench, photograph the actual unit, and price it against public sold-listing data you can go check.
Almost everything in the shop starts as a whole desktop. We buy complete machines around Columbus — our sister company Cash For PC is where a lot of them come from — and then we take them apart on the bench, one at a time. Buying whole machines is slower than buying pallets of loose parts, but it means every component was running in a working system when it reached us, and it’s why our stock skews toward the parts real builds are actually made of.
From there each part gets tested on its own before it earns a listing. Graphics cards are run under load with temperatures watched, memory is checked for errors, drives get their SMART data read, boards are posted with a CPU and RAM in them. Then it’s photographed — the actual unit, on our bench, scuffs included — and written up with whatever we found. There’s a longer, category-by-category version in how we test.
We price against our own market-price tracker, which follows completed eBay sold listings for hundreds of models. It’s published, free, and it doesn’t flatter us — if we’ve got a card listed above what the market is paying, the page that proves it is one click from the product. That’s deliberate. We would rather you check than wonder.
Orders ship within 24 hours from New Albany, OH 43054 via USPS or UPS with tracking, or you can pick up free in the Columbus area.
